Preparing for Wreaths Across America

Mindy Bickal, Jr. Vice Commander - 11/15/2025

On 14 November 2025, the JROTC cadets completed their annual service project at Roselawn Cemetery by assisting members of VFW Post 4190 in marking veterans’ gravestones. With more than 2,000 veterans laid to rest at Roselawn, this effort is a meaningful and essential step in preparing for a tradition that brings the community together in remembrance.

Each year, VFW Post 4190 leads the coordination of the Wreaths Across America ceremony and wreath-laying event, held on the second Saturday in December. The markers placed by the cadets and Post members ensure that every veteran’s grave is identified so a wreath can be placed with honor and respect.

The partnership between the JROTC program and VFW Post 4190 reflects a shared commitment to preserving veterans’ legacies, teaching younger generations the importance of service, and ensuring that no hero is forgotten. Through their teamwork and dedication, the community is once again preparing to pay tribute to those who served our nation.
