WELCOME TO LANIER-HINE POST 4190

Supporting Veterans and Their Families Through Service and Fellowship

Welcome to VFW Post 4190 – Lanier-Hine Post

Welcome to VFW Post 4190, proudly serving veterans, families, and the greater Decatur community. As a post of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, we are committed to honoring those who served, supporting those who are still serving, and strengthening our community through service, camaraderie, and patriotism.

Our post is a place where veterans from all branches and generations come together to connect, to remember, and to continue serving with purpose. From community service and youth programs to veterans advocacy, patriotic events, and fellowship, VFW Post 4190 stands as a welcoming home for all who believe in service above self.

Whether you are a veteran seeking connection, a family member looking to get involved, or a community supporter wanting to make a difference, we invite you to join us. Together, we honor the past, support the present, and build a stronger future.

Welcome home.

Commander's Corner

Commander Bruce Kimbrell

Welcome to VFW Post 4190, Lanier-Hine Post. Whether you’re a longtime member, a new face, or a veteran just stopping by to see what we’re about, we’re glad you’re here.

Our Post is built on camaraderie, service, and taking care of one another. From supporting local veterans and their families to honoring those who came before us, Post 4190 remains active and engaged in our community. Events like Wreaths Across America at Roselawn Cemetery, holiday outreach for local veterans, and Post gatherings such as the Army–Navy game watch are just a few ways we bring veterans and the community together.

Looking ahead, I encourage you to check our events calendar and join us for upcoming activities, meetings, and volunteer opportunities. Whether you have an hour to give or want to get more involved, there is a place for you here. Strong Posts don’t happen by accident — they happen because members show up, pitch in, and support one another.

Thank you for being part of Post 4190. I look forward to seeing you at the Post.

Yours in comradeship,

Bruce Kimbrell
